Power outages, and downed trees reported as Hurricane Helene moves toward metro Atlanta, north Georgia

11Alive is tracking outages all over metro Atlanta and north Georgia.

ATLANTA — Power outages are being reported all over the state as Hurricane Helene approaches land.

The hurricane is forecasted to be a Category 4 at landfall. 11Alive Weather Impact team has forecasted Helene to remain a hurricane in southern and central Georgia and a tropical storm as it cuts through north Georgia.
