HART COUNTY, Ga. -- In three photos, detectives hope the public will find the tools needed to bring an armed robber to justice.
Hart County officials are requesting the public's help finding 37-year-old William James Wood - the man they believe robbed a local restaurant and gas station.
It was at Dad's Restaurant and Gas Station on I-85 exit 177 that police believe Wood made his move before escaping in a green or gray van with another man in the driver's seat.
Investigators said he escaped onto I-85 but aren't sure where he was headed. He does, however, have connections to both Commerce, Ga. and Greenville, S.C. They also warned that he is considered armed and dangerous.
Authorities are asking for tips on where the suspect, who also goes by the nickname BJ, may be. That information can be provided to the Hart County Sheriff's Office at 706-376-3114 or cid@hartcountyga.gov.
