NORCROSS, Ga. -- Two teens have been charged with murder after one they allegedly killed one and injured a second person in a shooting at an apartment complex in Norcross early Saturday morning.
Gwinnett Police said it happened at the Rockbridge Court Apartments in the 2200 block of Rockbridge Court shortly after 4 a.m.
Police said when they responded to a call of a shooting, they discovered a victim who had been shot in the arm. That person, 17-year-old Noah Fullilove, directed officers to the second victim, 16-year-old Zachary Nelson, who was reported dead on the scene.
Fullilove was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in downtown Atlanta. His condition is not presently known.
Investigators did not have a lead on the shooting suspect or a motive for the shooting at the time. They later found two suspicious males on bikes nearby. Officials said they matched the descriptions of the suspects provided at the original scene. Police detained 16-year-old Omar Ramos and 14-year-old Ronaldo Cruz and questioned them.
They later determined they were involved in the homicide, and on Sunday, authorities issued warrants for the shooting.
Ramos and Cruz were arrested and charged with one count of murder and two counts of armed robbery. Ramos was also charged with two counts of aggravated assault.
