Gunman says 'Good morning,' then kills coworker in workplace shooting, police say

Gunman identified as 36 year old Jonesboro man

SOUTH FULTON, Ga. — Fulton County Police say they are no longer searching for the suspect from a fatal workplace shooting, Tuesday morning, after they say he was killed in an accident in Alabama.

According to Fulton County Police Cpl. Maureen Smith, "At 8:30 this morning, we responded in reference to a person shot" at Industrial Solutions in the 5100 block of Fulton Industrial Boulevard in South Fulton.

"Employees heard several gunshots after an employee came into work," she said. "He went back into the warehouse and started shooting."

Another employee was hit by gunfire and killed. The Fulton County Medical Examiner identified him as 25year old Andre Slocum of Atlanta.

The shooting suspect, identified Thursday as 36 year oldd Jordan Michael Toddings, of Jonesboro, fled the scene. Police said they knew who the suspect was, and they were actively looking for him. However, they confirmed the suspect was killed in a single vehicle accident, according to the Alabama Highway Patrik.

At this point, police do not know the motive behind the shooting. Their investigation remains active.
