Suspected shoplifter complains about store police harassment, returns to steal XBox One

Police said the man tried to steal two XBox Ones but was confronted by a loss prevention officer. The next day, he returned to try again.

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - Police are looking for a Target shoplifting suspect who complained about being harassed by one of the store’s loss prevention officers and then returned to steal a video game console the very next day.

Police said the man entered the Peachtree Corners on Jan. 8, 2018, store and placed two Xbox One’s in an empty storage container and tried to purchase the containers in the self-checkout line.

A loss prevention officer approached the suspect, who claimed it was a mistake. The suspect left the store in a blue Chevrolet Suburban. Police said he later called Target and complained that he was treated poorly by the loss prevention officer.

The next day, police said the same man entered the store and again placed an XBox One in an empty storage container. This time he left the store without paying, skipping the checkout line entirely and leaving the parking lot in the same vehicle.

The suspect is described as a black male with an average build, with short hair and facial hair.
