FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — A inmate was found dead in the Forsyth County Jail, Sunday, authorities confirm.
According to the sheriff's office, jail deputies were making rounds at 4:30 a.m. to wake inmates for morning breakfast when they found 40-year-old Timothy Theodore Weidler of Auburn, Georgia dead in his bed.
Deputies performed first aid while medical staff responded, but the inmate was pronounced dead.
The sheriff requested the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to look into what happened.
Right now, officials don't believe anything suspicious was involved.
Investigators are bringing the inmate's body to the GBI crime lab for an autopsy to determine a cause of death.
