ATHENS, Ga. - Police are investigating after a 22-year-old woman was shot and killed at a duplex on Sartian Drive early Monday morning.
Officers received a call at 4:56 a.m. and when they arrived to the scene, they found Jennifer Jacobs deceased in her bedroom with a gunshot wound to her chest.
There were two other people at the residence at the time of her death, including Jacob's boyfriend.
Police say a weapon was recovered at the scene.
