CARTERSVILLE, Ga. -- Police in Cartersville are investigating after learning of a small child's death early Monday morning.
Officers arrived at the 300 block of Old Mill Road around 6:50 a.m. after a call of a cardiac arrest. There they found an unresponsive 2-year-old girl. The child was later confirmed dead according to a spokesperson for the department.
As part of the police department's standard protocol, investigators have set up a crime scene. Details of the death have not yet been released but officers plan to provide updates as more information becomes available.
