AUSTELL, Ga. — An overnight fire on Sunday displaced eight families, impacting a total of 17 people, the Red Cross said.
Volunteers with the organization responded to the Reserve at Sweetwater Creek in Douglas County to help with temporary lodging, food and other essentials.
They said the fire impacted one unit, but resulted in power being shut off to the 20-unit building.
