MARIETTA, Ga. - A man was hit while trying to cross the road in front of the Marietta Diner late Tuesday night.
According to police, at 10:20 p.m., a 29-year-old male began crossing Cobb Parkway when he was hit by a 2001 Honda Odyssey.
The driver of the vehicle had been traveling northbound on Cobb Parkway near Freys Gin Road when the incident occurred.
Police also note that the man was not crossing the street in a designated crosswalk.
The pedestrian was transported to Kennestone Hospital with life-threatening injuries and is in critical condition.
According to police, no charges are anticipated for the driver at this time.
