ATLANTA – Hypochondriacs rejoice, the app you’ve been looking for has arrived.
As we head into flu season there is a new sickness app you might want to consider.
Sickweather is a real-time map of human health that tracks reported illnesses and symptoms in the Atlanta area and across the country. Just how Doppler radars scan the skies for bad weather, Sickweather scans social media networks for illnesses.
The app works by connecting to one of your social media handles. The app then locates your area and alerts you when a new illness is reported. You can set your alerts for various illness including bronchitis, allergies, asthma, head lice, pneumonia, flu and more.
The app also allows you to see previously reported illnesses in your area up to 7 days ago.
For more information on the app, visit Sickweather’s website.
