ATLANTA -- A woman is reportedly unconscious after being hit by a car off the Connector.
According to Atlanta Fire Department spokesperson Sgt. Cortez Stafford, the woman was near the University Avenue exit off I-85 South when she was hit while trying to cross from the shoulder to northbound lanes.
Atlanta Police officials say the woman may have possibly been hit by three cars. Only one remained on the scene.
Emergency responders said she was breathing when they transported her to Grady Hospital, but she was reportedly not alert.
Lanes of I-85 have been shut down while investigators look into what happened. The scene is expected to be clear around 8:45 p.m.
