ATLANTA — Atlanta rap legend T.I. has officially announced he will retire from performing at the end of this year.

During a Thursday appearance on Atlanta radio station 96.1 The Beat's "Rari at 2" show with Young Dro, the "Whatever You Like" rapper confirmed his final performance will be in Atlanta at the station's annual Jingle Ball on Dec. 19 at State Farm Arena. T.I. is set to headline alongside T-Pain, Sexxy Red, Saweetie, Khalid, Tinashe, The Kid Laroi, and more.

“I appreciate y’all for offering me my last working gig because I do not need the money anymore and I will not be performing,” he said. “I don’t want to do it anymore… I don’t want people to pay me to hop around and sweat for their entertainment anymore.”

Although the veteran of the rap game said his regular performances will be "Dead and Gone"(get it?), he did say that he will likely perform again — but only on his terms.

Last month, T.I. and his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Harris, were awarded $71 million in a lawsuit against MGA Entertainment, claiming that the major toy manufacturer's "OMG Dolls" misappropriated the likeness and image of the OMG Girlz, a former girl group closely associated with the Harrises. The OMG Girlz, which gained popularity in the early 2010s, included Tiny's daughter, Zonnique Pullins, and became well-known for their unique fashion and colorful hairstyles.

The couple first filed their lawsuit against MGA Entertainment over their line of L.O.L. Surprise! O.M.G. dolls in 2020.
