ATLANTA — Casting directors are preparing for the final weeks of production on the upcoming Amazon original series based on untold stories about the historical Underground Railroad.
Marinella Hume Casting is currently looking for African American male actors to portray “hub travelers from the 1900s”. Actors must be between the ages of 20-70,
Filming goes down on February 11 in Macon, Georgia. Crews will meet in Locust Grove and will transport actors to the set location.
For the upcoming shoot, producers are looking for fresh faces to appear in scenes so if you’ve already appeared in “Underground Railroad” filmings, do not apply.

Some of the cast members include Thuso Mdedu, Chase W. Dillon, and Aaron Pierre, according to Variety.
The outlet reports the show will chronicle one woman’s journey after escaping a Georgia plantation.
Jenkins, director of the award-winning motion pictures "Moonlight" and "If Beale Street Could Talk," has been tapped to direct 11 episodes of the upcoming one-hour series.
While Jenkins directed a single episode of Netflix's "Dear White People" in 2017, this is his first full-scale television project.
Production on this series began late summer throughout several parts of Georgia. Back in August, A-Scene Insider Yvonne Lowery saw the basecamp sign “UGRR” nearby Myrtle Creek Farm in Newton County.
The production has since been spotted in Madison County. Danielle Herman sent in behind-the-scenes images while in the area.
Herman writes, "I’m in Madison, GA for a wedding and found this! I talked to a PA and she said they’re filming 'Underground' for Amazon Prime."
