ATLANTA — Stranger Things season three picked up where the Netflix series left off stronger than before.
After the highly-anticipated premiere dropped on July 4, fans were eager to see where the characters from the fictional Hawkins, Indiana would land next.
Some people have even speculated if the show would end or would continue for more seasons.
Residents in Georgia have seen the production from “Stranger Things” film all three seasons to-date throughout surrounding areas of Atlanta.
“McFly,” is one of the basecamp signs crews used to establish where crews would be while filming scenes for "Strangers Things" during summer 2018.
The code is a nod to the 80s classic “Back to the Future” starring Michael J. Fox. The code was used a lot during the production of the third season.
In the past 24 hours, 3 people have reported to 11Alive’s The A-Scene that they’ve spotted the basecamp sign in their area.
“Saw 'MCFLY' signs on Flowers Road near Chamblee-Tucker Road and Mercer University Drive in the District Office Park across the street from the FBI offices,” Charisse J. Pelaez Walcott wrote into The A-Scene.
Jamie Chong posted a pic of the sign on that same road.
However, producers have not officially announced the fourth season of “Stranger Things”. The new “McFly” sign points to a new production by “Orange Is The New Black” creator Jenji Kohan.
“Slutty Teenage Bounty Hunters” is Kohan’s latest production filming throughout Georgia since May 2019.
Scenes for the upcoming Netflix comedy series “Slutty Teenage Bounty Hunters” has been filming in parts of downtown Atlanta.
According to Variety, Maddie Phillips and Anjelica Bette Fellini will star in the new series executive produced by Jenji Kohan.
Sorry "Stranger Things" fans, we'll have to wait a little while longer to return to the Upside Down.
