JONESBORO, Ga. — Another Georgia Red Lobster location is now scheduled to shutter its doors amid the restaurant chain's filing for bankruptcy.
According to a CNN report, it's part of yet another set of closings, which includes 23 locations nationwide.
The Red Lobster on Tara Boulevard in Jonesboro, Georgia, will close on Saturday, Aug. 31. The restaurant said it would not resign the leases for those locations.
In June, 11Alive reported on the Jonesboro location's potential closing, along with three other stores in Smyrna, Rome and Columbus. The other three locations have not received a definitive closing date but were on the verge of closing. The status of those locations is unclear.
In a filing, Red Lobster listed the locations where it wished to reject the leases because they "are likely to continue to drive losses" if everything is kept the same.
Locations in Florida, Colorado, Arkansas, Arizona, California, Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio and Virginia will also close on Aug. 31.
