Several dogs rescued in hoarding investigation adopted, but others still need homes

The adoption fee for all the dogs and puppies associated with this case is $75.

LAGRANGE, Ga. — The LaGrange Animal Shelter is hoping to find new homes for the dogs who were rescued last week in a hoarding investigation.

Officials said most of the 30 Mastiff mixed breed dogs recovered Friday are available for adoption at the LaGrange Animal Shelter.

There were nine puppies among the dogs rescued. Officials said some of them have been adopted.

The adoption fee for all the dogs and puppies associated with this case is $75. Some adult dogs will not be available for adoption until they are more trusting of people.

Since there were space issues created by this case, LaGrange Animal Services is waiving fees on all other dogs and cats who are fixed, microchipped, and current on vaccinations.

City officials said anyone who is interested can call animal control at 706-298-3606. You can also go to the department, which is located at 1390 Orchard Hill Road in the Animal Services building with the LaGrange-Troup Humane Society.
