Atlanta Police searching for persons of interest in 'targeted' deadly triple shooting

APD says two men are wanted for questioning in connection to the Jan. 2 shooting that left one man dead.

ATLANTA — Atlanta Police investigators are searching for two persons of interest in a triple drive-by shooting that left one man dead and two other people injured.

Desmond Lindsey and Terrance Cole are wanted for questioning in connection to what police have called a "targeted shooting" in the Mechanicsville neighborhood of Atlanta. 

On Jan. 2, officers responded to the 300 block of Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard in reference to multiple people shot. Upon arrival, police found three people suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers said suspects opened fire inside a white four-door sedan in front of a home in the area. 

Two of the victims were alert and conscious, but the third victim, Montravious Pitts, was transported to the hospital in critical condition and later died of his injuries. 

Police say the investigation is active and ongoing.
