NEWTON COUNTY, Ga. — A man wanted for murder in the death earlier this month of a Newton County woman found dead inside her home has been taken into custody.
The U.S. Marshals on Thursday confirmed that Corey Jackson, who was wanted for murder and aggravated assault in connection to the death of 37-year-old Natasha Billings, was in their custody. They referred to the Newton County Sheriff's Office for any further information on the circumstances that led to Jackson's arrest.

Billings was found dead at her home off Skyview Drive on Oct. 30 after her mother called authorities and said she hadn't heard from her daughter.
The sheriff's office later said they had issued a BOLO for Jackson. Sheriff's deputies said they were investigating Billings' death at that time as a "presumed homicide."
