Four dead, one injured in unrelated early morning Atlanta shootings, police say

Police caution that preliminary details may change as the investigation progresses.

ATLANTA — Atlanta police are investigating a series of shootings early Nov. 9 that left four men dead and one person hurt in separate incidents across the city.

Man killed in Pryor Street shooting 

The first reported incident took place around 4:45 a.m. near 768 Pryor St. SW. Officers from the Atlanta Police Department responded to a shooting call and were informed that a 29-year-old man had been taken to the hospital in a private vehicle. He later died from his injuries. Homicide investigators are working to determine the circumstances of the shooting.

Person reported hurt on Northside Drive

A second call came at 7:21 a.m. from 1706 Northside Drive. Authorities confirmed that officers responded to the location on a report that someone had been hurt. Details regarding the person’s condition or specifics surrounding the incident have not yet been released.

Two men shot dead on Bolton Road 

The third incident, reported at 9:32 a.m., occurred on block 400 of Bolton Rd. NW. Officers arrived to find two men with gunshot wounds. Medical personnel pronounced both men dead at the scene. 

Police said the people involved knew each other and said they had a suspect at their station for questioning. 

Man killed on Joseph E. Boone Blvd.

The fourth incident occurred around 8:36 a.m. at 1197 Joseph E. Boone Blvd. NW, where officers found a 44-year-old man with a gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital but later died from his injuries. The Aggravated Assault Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
