FAYETTE COUNTY, Ga. — Both suspects facing murder charges in the killing last month of a 19-year-old at a Fayetteville Walmart were denied bond on Tuesday.
A hearing was held in a Fayette County courtroom, where a judge determined the two suspects in the case, Adrian Jelks and Sandra Romero-Nunez, would not be released. You can re-watch the full hearing in the video player above this story.

Adrian Jelks and Sandra Romero-Nunez, both 19, face charges including murder in the March 29 shooting death of another 19-year-old, Antavius Holton.
Jelks, an employee at the Walmart, is accused of shooting and killing Holton, while Romero-Nunez is charged as a party to the crime.
"First let me address Mr. Jelks -- he already has fled once and I'm not gonna give him an opportunity to flee again, so his bond is denied," the judge said Tuesday.
Jelks evaded authorities until he was arrested in the early morning of April 3, five days after the shooting of Holton. The judge also determined that it was "unlikely she would not have noticed a gun on the ride to Walmart, therefore implicating her" in the decision to deny Romero-Nunez bond.
The shooting happened at the Walmart in the Fayette Pavilion shopping center on Friday night, March 29 around 10 p.m.
When officers arrived at the store on Friday, 19-year-old Antavius Holton was found shot, and a 9-year-old girl was hit by a stray bullet and rushed to the hospital, police said. An update the next day stated Holton had died, but the child is expected to be OK.
A witness told 11Alive the scene at the Walmart as the shooting unfolded was "terrifying."
"My whole experience last night made me fearful to go into any store... This is the most terrifying experience I've ever been through so I don't know if I'll ever be here," Lia Bowers said. "It's awful. It's completely awful.... now there's a young person who is not going to see past 19."
