FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. — A Walmart shopper can't process the fear she's felt over the last 24 hours after fleeing her Fayetteville store on Friday from a deadly shooting involving a 9-year-old.
"It was always a hangout back in the day, in my teens, so I kind of knew the layout of the store," Lia Bowers said. "I grabbed my boyfriend and we just got out of there."
Fayetteville Police said that 19-year-old Adrian Jelks is wanted for murder and aggravated assault in connection with a shooting inside the entryway of the Walmart on Pavilion Parkway in Fayetteville. A second 19-year-old is in custody for being "party to a crime for the offenses of murder and aggravated assault," police said.

Police said there were two victims: 19-year-old Antavius Holton of Riverdale, who died from his injuries and a 9-year-old little girl, who is expected to survive.
"My whole experience last night made me fearful to go into any store... This is the most terrifying experience I've ever been through so I don't know if I'll ever be here," Bowers said. "It's awful. It's completely awful.... now there's a young person who is not going to see past 19."

She said she is hugging her loved ones a little tighter after experiencing that horror.
"Tell everyone that you love them. Give hugs. Forgive easy," she said. "Life is just so short. You have no idea what you're going to experience."
Aside from an entrance blocked by caution tape, the Walmart appeared to open normally on Saturday. Many shoppers said they had no idea anything had happened there.
"It was kind of quiet and people were acting kind of funny. I didn't know myself what was going on, so I was just trying to get in and out as soon as possible," Jonathan Gillard said. " Now that I heard what was going on, I can see the difference... it's kind of scary. I live in the area, and you would never expect for something like this to happen here."
Police are still searching for Jelks. Anyone with information is asked to call the Fayetteville Police Department.
