Late correction shows confirmed cases at 18,489, deaths at 689
After initially showing an unexplained drop in both cases and deaths in Georgia's coronavirus numbers, the state released a corrected list around 9:30 p.m. That list suggests that 18,489 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Georgia along with 689 deaths.
The numbers show a slight drop in the percent of hospitalized cases at 18.87 - still roughly one in five people who have been confirmed to have coronavirus.

Evening numbers from DPH show lower confirmed cases, deaths than earlier update
The Georgia Department of Public Health has made an unusual update to previous numbers on Sunday, lowering both the total cases and number of deaths since the noon info release.
In the 12 p.m. update, the state agency suggested there were 18,301 confirmed cases in Georgia and that that there were 687 deaths.
However, in the 7 p.m. update, the numbers had decreased to 18,157 cases and 681 deaths. 11Alive has reached out to the Georgia Department of Public Health for clarification.

Kroger to mandate masks for all store associates
Kroger's Atlanta Division, which includes Georgia, eastern Alabama and South Carolina, is adding new safety measures, including facial mask requirements for associates.
The grocery chain said they have a supply of surgical masks in stock for associates to use.
Additionally, the chain will pilot test mandatory temperature checks at the start of each shift at certain stores. These tests will commence once the infrared thermometers arrive in the stores.
Confirmed cases have increased to 18,301, deaths are up to 687
Early Sunday afternoon, the Georgia Department of Public Health said that there are more than 18,000 confirmed cases of novel coronavirus in the state of Georgia and 687 deaths. Of the total who have gotten confirmed cases of the virus, 3,464 of them, about 18.93 percent, have been hospitalized.
The number of confirmed cases of the virus in Fulton County has exceeded 2,100, with 75 deaths reported. The number of cases in neighboring DeKalb County -- 1,452 -- has exceeded the number of reported cases in downstate Dougherty County, which has 1,422 cases.
Completing the list of counties with more than 1,000 confirmed cases is Cobb County reporting 1,125 and Gwinnett County with 1,099 cases. Hall County has 621 cases, Clayton County has 519 and Henry County has 367.
Dougherty County still has the highest total in the state in terms of the number of fatalities reported with 91, followed by the aforementioned Fulton County total of 75. Cobb County follows with 51 deaths, Gwinnett with 38, DeKalb with 24, Mitchell County has 23 deaths, Bartow County is reporting 22.

MARTA making dramatic reduction in bus, rail service beginning Monday
MARTA has announced that due to the coronavirus, effective Monday, April 20, it is suspending all but 41 bus routes.
All bus passengers will enter and exit through the rear doors only, except for riders who need to use the accessibility ramp. Fare collection has been suspended.
Weekday rail service will begin at 5 am and operate on a Sunday schedule with trains arriving at stations about every 20 minutes.
Coronavirus cases in Georgia rise to 17,841, deaths to 677
Georgia is now reporting 17,841 confirmed cases of coronavirus and 677 deaths. Of the total who have gotten confirmed cases of the virus, 3,447 - or about 19.32 percent - have been hospitalized.
Fulton County leads in the total number of cases with 2,065 confirmed. Dougherty County in southwest Georgia, however, continues to lead in deaths with 91. DeKalb County, meanwhile, is just one case away from having the second largest number of confirmed cases in Georgia at 1,408 - just behind Dougherty's 1,409.
