ATLANTA — A man is facing charges after a woman was found dead last month in Atlanta's Capitol View neighborhood.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office identified the victim as Stephanie Brooke Alderson.
According to Atlanta Police, they responded to 985 Cox Avenue SW on the afternoon of Dec. 11 and found the victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound; the address appears to be associated with a tow company. Alderson was pronounced dead at the scene.
Criminal warrants show a man was charged with concealing the 38-year-old's death by allegedly "placing her within the passenger compartment of a vehicle" and abandoning the car in a remote area without notifying police.
Jail records show the suspect is also charged with tampering with evidence; he was booked into the Fulton County jail last week.
