ATLANTA — After many metro Atlanta and north Georgia school districts had to cancel or alter class schedules last week due to severe storms, several are again having to change plans with winter weather descending on parts of the region.
District leaders said they will continue to monitor the situation and provide additional information if circumstances change.
Here is a list of school systems that will be closed on Tuesday, January 16:

- Bartow County Schools
- Catoosa County Public Schools
- Charles R. Drew Charter School
- Cherokee County Schools
- Cobb County Schools
- Coweta County School System
- Dade County Schools
- DeKalb County Schools
- Douglas County Schools
- Floyd County Schools
- Fulton County Schools (non-student professional development day)
- Gordon County Schools
- Haralson County School District
- Heard County School System
- Marietta City Schools
- Murray County Schools
- Rome City Schools
- Village Montessori School Roswell
- Walker County Schools
- White County School System
- Whitfield County Schools
Schools that are going virtual/remote for Tuesday, January 16:

- City Schools of Decatur
- Clayton County Public Schools
- Dawson County School System
- Fannin County Schools System
- Forsyth County Schools
- Fulton County Schools (Teachers and staff on two-hour delay for report time)
- Gilmer County Schools
- Paulding County Schools
- Pickens County Schools
- Polk School District
- Towns County Schools
- Union County Schools
Colleges and universities that are closed on Tuesday, January 16:

- Agnes Scott College delayed opening until 10:30 a.m.
- Spelman College delayed opening until 10:30 a.m.
