ATLANTA — As the 2024 Presidential Election approaches, former President Donald Trump is set to make another stop in Georgia.
According to Trump's campaign team, the former president will be at a town hall in Cumming, Georgia, on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
A Trump campaign spokesperson said the town hall will focus on "women's issues."
According to CNN, former President Bill Clinton will also visit the Peach State on Sunday and Monday to show his support for Vice President Kamala Harris.
A few weeks ago, Harris delivered remarks on abortion rights in Cobb County. The vice president spoke forcefully on the issue of reproductive freedom and spotlighted the death of Georgia mother Amber Thurman. Thurman, a 28-year-old mother of a 6-year-old boy, died in 2022. According to the ProPublica report, it was officially deemed preventable by a state committee due to a delay in care for a rare complication that occurred when she took abortion pills.
Trump's VP pick, JD Vance, campaigned in Floyd County last week and also talked with 11Alive one-on-one. He also shared his take on Georgia's abortion law. Other topics addressed included school safety and housing affordability.
Georgia is a key battleground state for the presidential election. Both Trump and Harris have already made numerous visits to Atlanta and the metro area.
