ATLANTA — Georgia voters are headed to the polls Tuesday to cast votes in the 2024 presidential primaries.
Though the 2020 election rematch race between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump is effectively set, political observers will nonetheless be studying Georgia for signs of how the critical swing state might go in November.
From turnout enthusiasm to the effectiveness of protest vote movements, your vote in the Peach State still matters on Tuesday.
(Also keep in mind that while Tuesday is only for presidential primary voting, Georgia will also conduct primaries on May 21 for other critical races such as U.S. Congress and seats in the Georgia House and Senate.)
If you're headed out to vote, here are the times you can do so:
What times do polls open and close on Primary Day in Georgia?
They opened at 7 a.m. and will close at 7 p.m. This is a statewide window and not subject to county-by-county decisions.
And as always, remember that you only have to be in line by 7 p.m. As long as you're in line before polls close, election workers have to let you cast your vote.
