ATLANTA — Georgia voters will soon head to the polls on Election Day to cast their ballot in the 2024 presidential election.
Around four million voters have submitted their ballots in Georgia before Election Day arrives on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
If you're planning on voting, here are the times you can do so:
What times do polls open and close on Election Day in Georgia?
The polls open open at 7 a.m. and will close at 7 p.m. This is a statewide window and not subject to county-by-county decisions.
And as always, remember that you only have to be in line by 7 p.m. As long as you're in line before polls close, election workers have to let you cast your vote.
States typically begin to report results soon after the polls close, but it may be a while before we know who won the presidential race as it's expected to be incredibly tight, and it can take some time to count mail-in ballots in certain states.
