Candidates for Clayton sheriff, DeKalb CEO, US District 3 races share their platform ahead of runoffs

Candidates in three of the biggest races in metro Atlanta discuss what they say they'd do if elected.

ATLANTA — On Tuesday, Georgians will return to the polls for a runoff election to select party nominees who will move on to November's general election.

The candidates in three of metro Atlanta's biggest races sat down for wide-ranging interviews with the hosts of 11Alive's Sunday politics show, The Georgia Vote, ahead of Election Day. Catch the full conversation with each candidate below.

How do Georgia runoffs work?

If no candidate in a primary election earns a majority of the vote (more than 50%), then the two top vote getters go to a runoff election to select a winner. According to Georgia's election rules, runoff Election Day is June 18, with early voting starting the week before.
