COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Governor Tim Walz, the Democratic Vice Presidential nominee, capped a day of campaigning across Metro Atlanta with a rally at the Waverly Renaissance Hotel near Truist Park in Cobb County.
The event came as part of a final push in the closing 48 hours of a race for the White House that is expected to be close.

"If you want to get rid of the anxiety, go vote," Walz told a crowd of supporters.
The Minnesota governor argued that individual liberties are on the line in this election.
"When Donald Trump talks about freedom, that's the freedom to be in your exam room. That's the freedom to be in your bedroom. That's the freedom to tell you what books to read. That's the freedom to force their religious beliefs on you," Walz said. "When Kamala talks about freedom, she means the people should be free to make those decisions, not politicians."
The Cobb County campaign stop wrapped up around 5 p.m., a few hours before former president Donald Trump took the stage at his own rally in Macon.
Back in Cobb County, Vice President Kamala Harris' husband, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, joined Walz on the stage.
"As someone who loves his wife and loves this country, I have never been more proud of her," he said.
"We need to take this very seriously right now," Emhoff added. "We are right at the end, and I know you all see that."
The event offered one of the last chances to urge supporters to head to the polls on Election Day.
"On behalf of Kamala, on behalf of myself, I'm humbly asking for your vote on Nov. 5," Walz said.
Polls open across Georgia at 7 a.m. on Tuesday.
