ATLANTA — Vice President Kamala Harris is visiting Atlanta today, arriving in the Peach State to kick off a nationwide campaign tour to emphasize the Biden administration's economic record.
The vice president will attend events that, according to the White House, are "focused on investing in communities, building wealth, and ensuring every American has the freedom to thrive" as Vice President Harris embarks on the "Economic Opportunity Tour."

- Harris will speak as part of a moderated conversation: The conversation will be "focused on investing in communities, building wealth, and ensuring every American has the ability to thrive," according to the White House.
- Time, place, streaming: It is set for 2:45 p.m. ET and will be streamed on the White House website. The event is taking place in College Park.
- Moderators: The White House website lists Earn Your Leisure’s Rashad Bilal and Troy Millings as moderators for the conversation.
- Other speakers: According to the White House, other speakers will include Sens. Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff, Rep. Nikema Williams, College Park Mayor Bianca Motley Broom, Congressional Black Caucus Chairman Rep. Steven Horsford (D-NV), as well as federal officials representing the Departments of Commerce and Transportation.
- Items of note: The White House says some of the things VP Harris will highlight include recent funding awarded by the Department of Transportation's Reconnecting Communities and Neighborhoods Program, including a $157 million grant for the ambitious "The Stitch" project to put a land cap over I-75/85 in Midtown Atlanta.
