ATLANTA — A woman survived a scary e-scooter ride Saturday after being dragged while someone reportedly tried to take her purse, police said.
According to Atlanta Police, the woman was riding on one of the dockless electric scooters on Argonne Avenue near Piedmont Park in Midtown when a car pulled up beside her.
Police said the victim told officers a man reached out of a passenger side window and tried to grab her purse from off her shoulder. Police said the woman was dragged alongside the car.
A witness nearby heard the woman shout for help and called 911. Police said the car drove off soon after - without the purse.
Emergency responders took the victim to Atlanta Medical Center with lacerations to the forehead, left and right arm, and hands.
Meanwhile, police are still looking for the suspects, though they weren't able to provide a description of the vehicle.
