PARIS, France — A former University of Georgia athlete made history at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Thursday.
Jasmine Moore jumped into the record books after she became just the second woman in Olympic history to medal in both the triple jump and long jump at the same Games, according to a post by NBC Olympics & Paralympics on social media.
Moore won bronze in the women's triple jump on Saturday with a 14.67m jump, making her the first U.S. woman to win a medal in the triple jump.
And then on Thursday, Moore captured the bronze once again by completing her 6.96m jump, placing her name in the history books in Paris.
