Gymnastics
Simone Biles battles through calf pain in Olympic return
Simone Biles made her return to the Olympics and dominated in the Subdivision 2 qualifier for the Women's Artistic Team All-Around in gymnastics. However, while warming up on the floor exercise ahead of the qualifier, Biles appeared to be limping and said she had an issue with her calf. Despite the pain, the GOAT of gymnastics returned to the competition and helped push Team USA to the top.
Jordan Chiles dazzles on uneven bars
Team USA's Jordan Chiles also shined on the uneven bars during the Olympic qualification round with a score of 14.266.
Swimming
Team USA wins 2nd gold medal of Paris Olympics
Team USA's Torri Huske and Gretchen Walsh finished 1-2 in the women's 100-meter butterfly swimming final. Huske won her first gold medal, and Walsh grabbed the silver. They were just four-hundredths of a second apart!

Spain's Rafael Nadal was victorious in his singles match against Hungary's Márton Fucsovics. Nadal beat Fucsovics with a score of 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 in the first round. Nadal will face off against his rival, Novak Djokovic, on Monday.
