Overnight, temperatures dropped into the 20s around Atlanta, bringing some frosty conditions to the roads.

If you're out traveling for any reason this Christmas morning, you're being urged to be cautious out there - the National Weather Service's Atlanta station warned to "please take care as temperatures are quickly falling and patchy black ice will be possible."

The Georgia Department of Transportation this morning already logged reports of icy roads on I-20 in Rockdale County, Route 162 and Route 20 in Newton County, Route 1 in Carroll County, and Route 53 in Pickens County.

There is sure to be more than that, though - you can check conditions on the Georgia 511 website before you head out anywhere.

GDOT did say it was prepared for the conditions with brine teams on Christmas Eve.
