Atlanta airport TSA wait times

Projections from Atlanta's airport indicate that more than 349,000 passengers are expected to travel through ATL on Friday, Aug. 30. Parking is also at a premium as construction crews continue to occupy the area that once had 3,000 spaces. The new parking deck at the South Economy lot won’t open for another year.

If you are heading to the airport, be sure to arrive at least two and a half hours before the scheduled departure time. If your flight is international, you will want to make that three hours ahead.

To save time, airport officials encourage passengers to thoroughly check their luggage beforehand to make sure they are not bringing prohibited items that could get them stopped at TSA.
