ATLANTA — We have already had a decent amount of rain this week from our first system Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, but now another system is expected to deliver heavy rain across the region.
A Flood Watch has been issued with the threat of an additional one to four inches of rain through Saturday night. A majority of the rain will occur from Friday night through Saturday morning.
Typically, this amount of rain wouldn't be too much of a concern, but it will be falling on already saturated ground and swollen streams, which could heighten the threat of flooding.

Atlanta has already had what could be considered a very wet March, with three days bringing daily rainfall totals above an inch and Wednesday bringing the most, more than two inches.
Within some of the really heavy rain, we may also have a strong storm or two, with damaging wind being the main threat. It is a level two out of five for the Atlanta area, or a slight risk. A level one out of five for far north Georgia, or a marginal risk.
Expect the heaviest of the rain to begin moving into the region Friday evening.
The heavy rain and potential for strong storms will continue into the early morning hours on Saturday.
The heaviest rain and strong storms are expected to begin moving out sometime mid- to late morning on Saturday.
Some flooding could still occur even after the heavy rain moves out, as much of the water filters into creeks and rivers around the area. Always remember to turn around, don't drown, and never go through flood water.
