ATLANTA — Multiple severe thunderstorm warnings were issued across metro Atlanta on Monday afternoon.
In general, there is an increased chance of scattered showers and thunderstorms across the area. Some of the storms had the potential to produce heavy rain and lighting.

9:20 p.m. | Lawrenceville Police said power has been restored after wires were down in the area of Constitution Blvd and Planeview Drive. Some traffic lights were impacted but they are operational again, police said.

5:48 p.m. | The Lawrenceville Police Department said multiple traffic lights are out due to wires down in the area of Constitution Boulevard and Planview Drive. In addition, traffic lights at several intersections nearby have been affected. Police said to treat these intersections as a four-way stop sign. Officers and engineers are on the way, the police department said.
4:55 p.m. | A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued from 4:54 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. for DeKalb and Gwinnett counties.
4:42 p.m. | A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued from 4:41 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for Heard County.
