ATLANTA — Travel impacts are possible over the next week as several storms systems push across the country.
In the Pacific Northwest and West Coast, another Atmospheric River events brings heavy rain and mountain snows over the start of the weekend. Overall, quiet weather is expected for the middle of the country through the next couple of days.
In the southeast, cool but dry conditions prosper through Monday.
In the Northeast, a storm system brings some rain and interior snow over the weekend.
Looking ahead to Thanksgiving Day, another storms system will arrive in the southeast, bringing rain to the forecast for the north Georgia region. We expect that rain to mostly hold off until after morning Turkey Trots. Afternoon feasts could get wet if they're outside. Have a backup inside plan ready. Highs should reach the 60s.
For the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, which will be televised on 11Alive, rain will be moving in as the day wears on. The parade may start dry, but may end wet. Highs in New York City on Thursday will be in the mid 40s.
