FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. — Editor's note: The video in this story is from a previous report.
Whataburger is adding even more orange and white pinstripes to the Peach State.
The popular fast-food joint will break ground on a new location in Fayetteville next Tuesday, April 16, at 2 p.m., according to Whataburger's partner Made to Order Holdings, LLC.
The new restaurant will be at 1307 GA-85, which is down the street from the Publix at Fayette Pavillion.
The Texas-based chain is known for its burgers and toppings, such as Hatch Green chiles, jalapeños, cheese, avocado and bacon. And you can't forget the spicy ketchup!
Earlier this month, the chain also introduced its new burger to the menu: the Bacon Steakhouse Double.
Back in January, Whataburger opened its first Atlanta location, where a man waited overnight to win food from the burger joint for a year.
The burger franchise first came to the metro Atlanta area back in November 2022 when it opened its first location in Kennesaw. There are now more than a dozen locations across the metro, including in Atlanta, Athens, Buford, Commerce, Covington, Cumming, Dawsonville, Kennesaw, Monroe, Newnan, Snellville, Thomasville and Woodstock.
Whataburger previously said it is projected to open more than 50 locations over the next seven years. To look at the menu and see Whataburger's other locations, click here.
