Zander Whatley was shot and killed on April 29.

PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. — A second suspect was taken into custody in connection to the shooting death of an 11-year-old Paulding County boy, while the third is still wanted in the case.

According to the Paulding County Sheriff's Office, Nazier Lloyd Anderson, 19, turned himself in early Wednesday morning to deputies and was taken into custody without incident. He was wanted for the murder of Zander Whatley.

The first suspect to be arrested was 18-year-old Osman Sesay Jr, who was taken into custody on May 11 following a traffic stop in Charlotte, North Carolina. Al-Hamid Ibrahim Kuyateh, 19, is still wanted on a murder charge and is considered to be armed and dangerous, the sheriff's office said.

On April 29, the Paulding County Sheriff's Office responded to the shooting at the home on Ruth Way at 11 p.m. Investigators believe multiple shots were fired at the home, and Whatley was hit by a bullet while inside. He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.

Zander's stepdad, William Dorsey, said he had 11 siblings and enjoyed being a brother. His birthday would have been May 11.

Photos were released Saturday morning of several classes and teachers all wearing either green or shirts with Zander Whatley's face on them.

"He is full of love. He was a bright light in the room. He was a very special kid," Dorsey said. "He loved the Lord. He loved to sing. He was a perfect kid."

His mother, Shareeda Alexander, told 11Alive on Tuesday that Zander was the best kid to have and that everyone loved him. She also stated that she wants justice for her son.

“I want my baby, and I want my family to be able to rest the way we deserve to rest," she said. "But I want them put away, and I wish they would just come forward."
