FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. — On Saturday, workers and visitors at the Northside Hospital in Forsyth County were greeted with a special message outside the front entrancing reading, “Heroes Work Here”.
The sign mysteriously appeared there, but within a few days, the company responsible for it was revealed. Diana Moore, owner of Card my Yard Alpharetta, said her daughter and her decided to set the sign up to “spark some joy during this time.”
Card My Yard is a greeting company that helps families and businesses celebrate by placing giant signs in yards. The Alpharetta based franchise is well known in the Forsyth County area for placing 'larger than life greetings' in peoples' yards to celebrate birthdays and graduations.
Card my Yard Alpharetta makes a statement
Moore says that due to the coronavirus, their business has been doing very well.
"A lot of people are having to cancel their birthdays and celebrations, and so they're still wanting to decorate and celebrate in some way," explains Moore.
Moore adds that since their business has been very fortunate during this time, they wanted to do something to give back to the community.
"We called Northside a few times and couldn't get anyone on the phone, understandably so. So we just decided to put a sign-out and ask for forgiveness over permission," says Moore.
The sign sat outside the Hospital for three days, before Moore took it down on Tuesday.
"The feedback was insane and so positive. We had other hospitals, police departments, and fire stations reaching out to us asking if we could move the sign around the county and place it in front of their locations," says Moore.
On Wednesday, Moore said that she was trying to figure out what area to place the sign next.
