TRACKER | Power outages across metro Atlanta, north Georgia after storms

Thousands are still without power early Wednesday following last night's storms.

ATLANTA — Thousands of people are without power early Wednesday after strong storms rolled across metro Atlanta and north Georgia the night before.

The outages come at a particularly troublesome time, with an 11Alive Weather Impact Alert Day set for Wednesday and heat on the rise.

Here's a look at where we're seeing outages in the region:

Power outage tracker | Metro Atlanta, north Georgia

You can view the Georgia Power outage tracker here. Data as of 1:15 p.m.

  • Fulton County: 2,736 customers without power (down from 4,568 at 6:45 a.m.)
  • Hall County: 1,127 customers without power (down from 1,940 at 6:45 a.m.)
  • DeKalb County: 355customers without power (down from 745 at 6:45 a.m.)
  • Cobb County: 111 customers without power (down from 657 at 6:45 a.m.)
  • Gwinnett County: 41 customers without power (down from 619 at 6:45 a.m.)
  • Murray County: 253 customers without power (down from 477 at 6:45 a.m.)
  • Pickens County: 444 customers without power (unchanged)
  • Gilmer County: 30 customers without power (down from 315 at 6:45 a.m.)
  • Clayton County: 77 customers without power (up from 250 at 6:45 a.m.)
  • Rockdale County: 190 customers without power (unchanged)
  • Douglas County: 25 customers without power (down from 151 at 6:45 a.m.)
  • Cherokee County: 55 customers without power (down from 123 at 6:45 a.m.)

  • North Georgia: 11,832 outages (down from 16,450 at 6:45 a.m.)
  • Metro Atlanta: 787 outages (down from 2,831 at 6:45 a.m.)

Currently, the north Georgia EMC map (available here) shows 379 outages around Dalton.

More north Georgia counties can be found on the Amicalola EMC map (available here) with 2,000 clustered northeast of Ball Ground and hundreds more around Ellijay. Overall it shows around 11,500 outages.

The Cobb County EMC map (available here) shows 31 outages affecting 483 meters.
