ATLANTA — Voters across the Peach State will soon head to the polls to cast their ballots in a runoff election on June 18.
Georgia's June runoff results from the May primary election, which sets the stage for the November general election. Here's what voters should know come Tuesday.
What is a runoff election?
A runoff election happens when no one candidate wins 50% plus 1 of the vote total outright.
If that happens, then the top two finishers in that race advance to face off in another election to determine a winner.
