Registration opens for 2025 AJC Peachtree Road Race | What to know

You have another chance if you missed out on Thursday's Fourth of July festivities at the 55th Running of the AJC Peachtree Road Race. Here's how.

ATLANTA — For those of you who missed the 55th Running of the AJC Peachtree Road Race, you are in luck.

Organizers have already opened registration for the 2025 race at a discounted rate. Everyone who wants to participate is eligible to pay the Atlanta Track Club members' price of $45.

The race is a hallmark of Atlanta’s Fourth of July celebrations, attracting thousands of runners from across the globe.

“We thought it would be fun to get a head start on 2025 while memories of Atlanta’s best day of the year are still fresh,” said Rich Kenah, CEO of Atlanta Track Club and race director of the Peachtree.

The deal will only be available for one week, from July 4 to July 11.

According to organizers, the traditional lottery will also return next year. It will happen in the spring when registration reopens.

According to a news release, non-members will register to enter a random lottery, but because of increasing demand, participation is not guaranteed.

“And this early registration period gives everyone who’s still feeling the energy of the event – participants, friends, family, spectators, viewers of the race’s live stream – the chance to guarantee their spot in next year’s race without having to rely on getting in via the lottery," said Kenah.

Those with 2025 Atlanta Track Club memberships will still be guaranteed entry into the race at that time, according to a news release. You can register for the 2025 event online here

This year, the T-shirt design—which is always chosen from a number of finalists—focuses on Peachtree Street itself. The light blue shirt shows the road cutting through the center of a peach, on which Atlanta's buildings and landmarks pop up to complete the cityscape.
