ATLANTA — The 55th annual AJC Peachtree Road Race has finished up. It's a hallmark of Atlanta’s Fourth of July celebrations, attracting thousands of runners from across the globe.

Who won the AJC Peachtree Road Race?

Race winners

Thrilling finishes mark Peachtree Road Race, with Sabastian Sawe and Stacy Ndiwa leading the pack

This year’s Peachtree Road Race saw some wild finishes. The men’s division winner was Sabastian Sawe of Kenya, crossing the finish line with an unofficial time of 28:03. In the women’s division, Stacy Ndiwa of Kenya won the race with an unofficial time of 31:12.

Daniel Romanchuk and Susannah Scaroni dominate wheelchair division in Peachtree Road Race

In the wheelchair division, Daniel Romanchuk won his seventh Peachtree in the men's race. His unofficial winning time was 19:37, just slightly off his pace last year of 19:28.

For the women's wheelchair division, Susannah Scaroni won the women's race for a fourth time, beating her winning time last year, as she won the race for the third consecutive year- by roughly half a minute, coming in unofficially at 21:39. 

Peachtree Road Race unveils 2024 T-shirt with a peachy cityscape design

The Peachtree Road Race is also famous for its exclusive T-shirt, which is only unveiled at the finish line.

This year, the T-shirt design—which is always chosen from a number of finalists—focuses on Peachtree Street itself. The light blue shirt shows the road cutting through the center of a peach, on which Atlanta's buildings and landmarks pop up to complete the cityscape.
