List | Here's which Olympians with Georgia ties won medals in 2024 Paris Games

As of Aug. 10, athletes with Georgia ties have received 27 medals at the Paris Olympics.

PARIS, France — The 2024 Paris Olympics are underway, and athletes with Georgia ties are earning the hardware to be able to say they're among the best in the world. From Atlanta native Gabby Thomas breezing by in the 200 meters to UGA and Georgia Tech grad Nic Fink making a splash, these athletes continue to embody perseverance and passion for their sport. 

But what is also evident is how the medal count for these Olympians keeps increasing. Here's a breakdown of which athlete got what type of medal this Olympic season: 

Gold 

Gabby Thomas (3) 

  • Atlanta native Gabby Thomas won gold in the women's 200m race for Track and Field with a time of 21.83. 
  • Thomas helped Team USA bring home the gold in the women's 4x100m relay. 
  • Thomas also helped Team USA win gold in the women's 4x400 relay.

Nic Fink (1) 

  • UGA and Georgia Tech graduate Nic Fink helped deliver gold for Team USA in the 4x100 mixed medley swimming relay with a time of 3:37:43. 

Vincent Hancock (1) 

  • The 35-year-old shooter from Eatonton won gold in the men's skeet competition. This was the fourth time he's won the event at the Olympics -- making him one of only eight athletes in Olympic history to win the same event four times. In the final, Hancock hit the target on 58 of 60 shots.

Tara Davis-Woodhall (1) 

  • Davis-Woodhall, who was at UGA for one season before transferring, earned gold after jumping 7.10m in the women's long jump.

Emily Sonnett (1) 

  • Sonnett is from Marietta and helped Team USA beat Brazil 1-0 to win gold in the women's soccer final. This marked the team's first Olympic gold medal since 2012. 

Croix Bethune (1) 

  • Bethune is from Alpharetta and helped Team USA beat Brazil 1-0 to win gold in the women's soccer final. 

Aaliyah Butler (1) 

  • Butler attends the University of Georgia and helped Team USA win gold in the women's 4x400m relay 

Chris Bailey (1) 

  • Atlanta native Chris Bailey helped Team USA win gold in the men's 4x400 relay. 

Anthony Edwards (1)

  • Atlanta native Anthony Edwards helped Team USA in a 98-87 win over France in the men's basketball final. 

Silver 

Katie Moon (1)

  • Moon earned her silver medal in the women's pole vault final, finishing with a 4.85m clearance on Wednesday, August 7.

Nic Fink (2) 

  • Fink earned an individual silver medal in the men's 100m breaststroke with a time of 59.05. He also helped Team USA earn second place in the men's 4x100 medley relay with a time of 3:28:01, earning him his second silver medal. The medley relay team also set a new world record.
With a time of 59.05, Fink tied for silver in the Men's 100m Breaststroke with Great Britain's Adam Peaty.

Vincent Hancock (1) 

  • This shooter from Eatonton earned the first team medal of his Olympic career when the USA placed second in the mixed team skeet event. He was successful on 23 of his 24 shots. 

Brooks Curry (1) 

  • The U.S. men's 4x200m freestyle relay team took home silver on July 30. While Dunwoody native Brooks Curry did not swim in the final race himself, he still medaled with his team. Curry swam in earlier heats of the event. 

Daniel Roberts (1) 

  • Metro Atlanta native Daniel Roberts proudly won silver in the men's 110m hurdles with a time of 13.09. 

Nevin Harrison (1) 

  • Harrison trains at Lake Lanier and took home silver in the women's canoe spring single 200m finals. 

Bronze 

Hampton Morris (1)

  • Morris made history by becoming the first American weightlifter to medal at the Olympics since 1984. He won bronze with a combined weight of 298kg.

Jasmine Moore (2) 

  • Former University of Georgia track athlete Jasmine Moore won bronze in the women's triple jump with a 14.67m jump, making her the first U.S. woman to win a medal in the triple jump.
  • Moore captured bronze in the long jump with a 6.96m jump. 

Brody Malone (1) 

  • This gymnast from Rockmart helped Team USA get the bronze medal during the Men's team final. He nailed his vault -- helping the team build more momentum. During the third rotation, Malone hit the parallel bars and finished with a 14.433. In the pommel horse, he also nailed his landing and scored a 13.700. 
Brody Malone help securing Team USA's first men's gymnastics medal since 2008. His hometown, Rockmart in Polk County, have been cheering him on.

Alex "Spiff" Sedrick (1) 

  • Sedrick, an alum of Marietta's Life University, helped the U.S. women's rugby team win over Australia in the bronze medal match. When there were only about 10 seconds left in the game, Sedrick took a pass out of a ruck, broke a tackle, ran right over a second tackler and broke the full length of the field for a try to tie it at 12-12. The U.S. easily converted their two-point kick and took the bronze 14-12.

Rhyne Howard (1) 

  • The Atlanta Dream's Rhyne Howard helped Team USA beat Canada in a third-place match game in the women's 3x3 basketball with a score of 16-13. 

Dearica Hamby (1) 

  • Marietta native Dearica Hamby helped Team USA beat Canada in a third-place match game in the women's 3x3 basketball with a score of 16-13. 

Bogdan Bogdanovic (1) 

  • Bogdanovic plays for the Atlanta Hawks and helped Team Serbia win the bronze match against Germany with a final score of 93-83. 

Julia Bergmann (1) 

  • Bergmann attended Georgia Tech and helped Brazil win the bronze match in Volleyball.
